Theodore E. Gildred, Chairman of the Board of the Lomas Santa Fe Group, founded the InterAmericana Group in 1990 after serving as United States Ambassador to Argentina from 1986 to 1989. InterAmericana's mission is to promote wide ranging business opportunities stimulated by the American Free Trade Agreement and the acceleration of privatization which has brought about expansion of favorable trade with Latin America.
